It all started with working for the clown at the golden arches over 20 years ago, now, Ricci and Stuart are long time mates and need to break up the mundane by driving at true Shitbox from Mackay to Darwin in the Shitbox Rally - Spring 2022.
They are - Team Bravo. Ricci and Stuart
The chosen trusty steed is a 1993 Mazda Bravo, named Brutus. Fit with 4 wheels and ungassed air-conditioning, the little 'truck' will win hearts (probably not). They paid a measly $1000 for him, which they think it a bargain.
Ricci and Stuart located him in the small, country town of Geelong and have trundled him back to the sunny suburb of Patterson Lakes to undergo some minor repairs before roadworthy.
Brutus is looking good, complete with its windscreen and associated steering wheel and engine.
Being from Melbourne, Ricci, Stuart and Brutus needs to make their way to the start line from Melbourne, so in actual fact, their journey starts much sooner than the actual rally, driving Brutus all the way to Mackay and home from Darwin.
They need your help and are chasing major sponsors and donations!
Help them raise much needed funds for cancer research via the Cancer Council (you know, the yellow flower!)
They will have your company logo made into a sticker and stuck onto the car somewhere for donations over $200 and if you're a private donor, your name will be etched into the tailgate (likely with a sharpie).
They will also flog to death the #brutusthebravo and #shitboxrallyteambravo hashtags for the lead up to the rally and whilst they make their way from Melbourne to Mackay, then onto Darwin and back to Melbourne.
They have a Instagram account where they will document the journey @shitboxrallyteambravo, follow the progress on the "Team Brutus Build"
Team Bravo have set their target low at $5000, however, teams in the past have raised so much more and they are hopeful that they smash that target out of the park!
Please donate what you can, make a difference to those who need it, be a good person.
"Donating to Team Bravo is like peeing your pants, everyone will see it, but only you will get the warm feeling it brings"

Shitbox Rally is the adventure of a lifetime challenging participants and their cars, worth no more than $1,500, on a 7 day drive across Australia to raise money for cancer research.
The rally is not a race – it’s a fun, colourful, unpredictable adventure with participants travelling at their own pace in smaller groups. Vehicles often break down but “we never leave anyone behind” and each night is spent camping beneath the stars and celebrating the day’s achievements. It all adds up to an incredible opportunity to see Australia’s vast and beautiful countryside and make lifelong friends, many brought together after experiencing cancer themselves or seeing cancer impact family and friends.
Since it’s inception the rally has been the largest fundraiser for the Cancer Council nationally.
Shitbox Rally is a dedicated fundraising event for cancer research with funds going to Cancer Council.
Cancer Council is one of the largest non-government funders of cancer research in Australia. We conduct and fund research studies across all cancers and all stages of the cancer journey.
Thanks to the community funds raised such as Shitbox Rally we can fund world-class research that reduces the impact of cancer for everyone.
$41 million over the past 13 years has been raised by Box Rallies to date, supporting ground-breaking projects such as:
These projects wouldn’t be possible without your support.
